Hello Deviant! I've been here before a few times. Each time was for something different, and this time is... no... different. Or rather, it is different, again. It's time to take things seriously and for me to demonstrate a little (hopefully a bit more than a little) professionalism.

Winning!
Break out the champagne and confetti! Today I “won” Nanowrimo. Which is to say, I’ve written 50,000 words since November 1st. That sounds like a lot. And it is. Unless you’re a writing god like Charles Hamilton, and can write 6,000 words of clean copy a day. But, if you’re a writing pansy like me, it’s a shit-ton.
The reality is that it’s actually not too bad once you find a solid rhythm. That and you have to stop being picky about your do-re-mi’s. There is simply no time to edit every single syllable that flies from your fingertips. When I came to grips with that… I suddenly found it fr
NaNoWriMo!
National Novel Writing Month is upon us, and this year I'm going to participate! It is held annually during the month of November, and is a good excuse for writer's to dust off their keyboards, typewriters, papyrus scrolls, and stone tablets. For all of you that are unfamiliar, the goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days!
Sounds impossible, right? Apparently thousands of superhuman scribblers are able to accomplish this every year. I admit, last year I was frightened at the proposition. Perhaps I still am. But damn it, I'm not getting any younger. So this year I aim to join their ranks.
The task is daunting, but it's time to start cooking
Flash Fiction Friday!
Hear ye, hear ye,
It's audience participation time. I, self-proclaimed avatar of madcap fiction, am holding polls on my awesomely wretched website to get input on what you'd like to see me write about next! I post new polls every Saturday and they close on Friday.
On Fridays I post my glorious Flash Fiction from the previous week's poll, as chosen by you, dear, sweet, particpating reader. The polls can be found on the sidebar, stage left. The polls are "what character, setting, and plot should I write about next?" So be sure to vote on all three! Otherwise I'll hunt you down and burn your entire village to the ground.
Tootles!

I have decided it's time to start taking things seriously. It's time to really find out what I am capable of. For too long I've been lazy, and haven't truly worked to polish my abilities. So it's time for a change. It's time to start working to better myself, to use the talents I have instead of taking them for granted. So I will be working to improve myself. Both writing, and painting in Photoshop.
I'd really like to write a book, but I just haven't had the level of personal commitment to make it happen. I've also neglected my artistic side for the last ten years. I'm long overdue for a return to the arts that defined me in my youth. When I
